The 2020 Torrumbarry Fishing Classic is proudly brought to you by the Torrumbarry Community Club and Xtreme Marine. Last year sold out – register now to avoid disappointment! Tickets available here.

Location: Horseshoe Bend off Headworks Road, Torrumbarry

Camping: On site

Catering: Included in entry fee. Non entrants $10 Saturday night dinner and Sunday Breakfast $5.
Tea – Saturday Night 7pm – 8pm
Breakfast – Sunday 7am – 8:30am

Lure Board Raffle:
Entry by lure donation only
All lures must be in good working order
Hard body lures or spinner baits only, no soft plastics
Small lures receive 1 ticket and large lures receive 2 tickets into the raffle. Winner takes all!!! Drawn Sunday at the presentations.

Registration tags are to be collected from the registration table at horseshoe bend prior to competition. 

Competition Boundaries

Fishing must be within the nominated boundaries which are identified by yellow floating markers.

All registrations must be processed online. If you wish to process manually, please contact one of our committee members Helen 0418 590 709 or Mel 0419 131 959. PLEASE register early as we cannot guarantee there will be any registrations available on the day. We cannot exceed capacity of 400 entrants.

Sunday Presentations & Prizes

It is expected that presentations will take place from approximately 12.30pm on Sunday. The Committee understands that many of you have to travel home and will endeavor to begin presentations as soon as the winners are known.

 

Conditions of Entry

1. Fishing Times

Saturday 7:30am – 5:30pm. Sunday 7:30am – 11am.

2. Regulations

2a. Fishing may be from boat or bank.

2b. All fishing and boating regulations as per NSW Fisheries and NSW Waterways.

2c. Fishing is limited to:-

Lines Two attended lines are permitted in all non-tidal waters. All tended lines must be within 50 metres, in your sight and have not more than 2 hooks per line or up to 3 treble hooks attached to any lure per line. Setlines are not permitted.

Legal Size: Murray Cod – 55-75cm, Golden Perch – 30cm.

2d. Disqualification of the competitor will result from having any illegal equipment or bait in their possession.

2e. The Committee reserves the right to inspect any equipment or bait used by the competitor and eject any competitor for misconduct.

2f. Boats and equipment are the responsibility of the owners.

2g. Children are the responsibility of their parents/guardians.

2h. Children MUST wear lifejackets in the boats.

3. Measuring Fish

3a. Marshalls will only collect and register carp to be entered into carp lotto.

3b. The Committee is a “catch & release” and encourage correct handling of fish as recommended by NSW fisheries.

3c. No fish will be accepted after the nominated closing time unless it has been sighted by a Marshall.

3d. Organisers reserve the right to inspect any fish.

3e. In the event of a tie, the angler that caught the earliest fish will be the winner.

3f. All native fish over their minimum legal length are to be photographed on a measuring device showing date and time and competitors registration tag. Forward photo via text to registration staff (phone number provided at registration tent), fish to be released once photo is taken. An acknowledgement text will be sent by return to confirm your entry.

4. Competition Boundaries

Fishing must be within the nominated boundaries which are identified by yellow floating markers.

5. Protests

5a. Any protests must be in writing and lodged with the Committee before the end of the fishing times.

5b. The Committee’s decision is final.

5c. The organisers, may at any time before the commencement, or during the “Torrumbarry Fishing Classic” refuse to accept and or reject any entry, without assigning a reason. Competitors signature on the entry form indicates they understand all rules and regulations of which the “Torrumbarry Fishing Classic” is run by and will abide by them at all times.

6. Liability

6a. It is stated and understood that any person entering the Torrumbarry Community Club Fishing Classic does so at their own risk.

6b. Any person taking part in the event shall indemnify the officials and organisers and any other entrants for injuries, loss or damages claims whatsoever.

When you register online or your signature on the manual registration form is your acceptance of all the rules and conditions of the competition.
